University of Cincinnati Collegiate Speed Mentoring

 

Date & Time: Monday October 17, 2011 6:00 – 8:00 pm

 

Location: University of Cincinnati

 

Who Can Attend: All Collegiate sections of South Ohio SWE and local professionals. SWE membership is not required for this event.

 

Details: Back by popular demand.  This will be a fun fast-paced event where professionals are matched up to 2-3 college students to answer questions and talk about their experiences in the field of engineering. The small group setting creates a low-pressure environment for free flowing conversation. There will be pizza and soda to kick-off the evening. Mentors -Don’t forget to bring your business cards! Participants will be provided a business card book to facilitate future networking.

University of Dayton Women Engineering Dinner

Date & Time: Monday September 26, 2011 6:00 – 8:00 pm

Location: Kennedy Union West Ballroom at the University of Dayton

Details: UD’s Women Engineering Program is sponsoring a dinner to help our womenundergraduate students meet with real world engineers in an informal social setting.  Typically, an evening begins at 6 PM, with dinner served at 6:15 PM, where students and practicing engineers dine together at tables of 6 or 8.Our hope is the students will get the chance to learn, firsthand what life’s like out there. A map, directions to campus and a parking pass will be provided.
