February General Meeting & MillerCoors Tour

Who Can Attend: Men, non-engineers, and non-members are welcome.
Details: We will have a brief business meeting followed by a facility tour. Your prompt arrival is appreciated. Also a strict dress code is enforced. Please see the attached document for details. Every individual must register in order to be put on the security clearance list.
Space is limited to 20 people and you must RSVP by noon Feb 17th.
January 12, 2012 Winter General Meeting
Day & Time: Thursday 6:30-8:30 pm
Location: The Art of Entertaining – O’Bryonville
Details: Join South Ohio SWE for the winter general body meeting. Upcoming events will be discussed along with our outlook for the second half of the year at The Art of Entertaining. There will be 6 small plates (2 appetizers, 3 main course, & 1 dessert), 3 wine or beer tastings and the opportunity to interact with the chefs to create some of the dishes.
Spouses, significant others, friends and other non-members are welcome for a fun evening. SWE membership is goes to half off at the end of this month so bring a friend and introduce them to all the benefits we offer.
Cost: $35 includes food, tastings and chef interaction. SWE members will receive a $10 rebate at the door!

Details: Join us for our general meeting in March to discuss South Ohio SWE happenings and a guest speaker, Ruthe Farmer. Ruthe Farmer has focused her efforts on increasing girls’ participation in technology and engineering since 2001. As Director of Strategic Initiatives, she provides strategic planning and direction, fund development, and cultivation of new partnerships for National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT). Ruthe oversees the NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing and efforts to accelerate distribution of NCWIT promising practices and resources throughout the computing community and beyond. Appetizers will be provided but drinks are on your own.

Get to know the other members of your section as we do a quick meet and greet and learn something new about one of your fellow members! Bring plenty of business cards to handout to everyone new you meet at speed networking!

We’ll have a brief update on SWE business and upcoming events followed by a presentation by Denise Quinn, Vice President MillerCoors and a brewery tour! Please wear industrial appropriate walking shoes, no open toe or heels.

Details: Get caught up on SWE business followed by our guest speaker for the evening Lisa Kappesser, President of EQ Coaching Solutions. Her presentation is entitled “Utilizing the secrets of emotional intelligence to maximize career success” and after her presentation, she will be signing copies of her book. The evening includes appetizers, beverages and a signed book for all attendees.
