The South Ohio section is a 501(3)c subordinate of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Our section encompasses the greater Cincinnati – Dayton area of Ohio. Members of South Ohio come from a wide variety of area employers, including Fortune 500 companies. SWE is an inclusive organization that supports women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). We also have tools from educators in those fields from the k-12 level and up. All women with technical backgrounds are encouraged to participate in SWE events regardless of their title. Each year we hold several different events including:
- General Meetings - to network with leaders of industry, hear about upcoming events and socialize with other SWE members
- Outreach events -to inspire students (girls AND boys) to see engineering and technical careers as a desirable
- Professional development events -to gain exclusive opportunities to develop as a professional
