There are many ways to be a part of SWE in South Ohio. Volunteering at one of the many outreach events at local (Dayton & Cincinnati) high schools, iSpace First Lego League or Girl Scouts is one of them. These events will leave you inspired and help the next generation aspire to be part of the exciting fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

We have lots of outreach opportunities from Jan through April this year!

Upcoming opportunities include  being a mentor for Speed Mentoring at University of Dayton,  being a judge for  iSpace FIRST Lego League (FLL) and Jr. FLL expo, Future Cities Competion, UC Science & Engineering Expo (SEE),  Project Lead the Way or the Dayton Leadership Academy,  participating in other eWeek activities and more.

The Judy Simmons Scholarship Fund has been set-up at Fifth-Third Bank. We are working towards endowing this scholarship so Judy’s memory can be honored in perpetuity to do that we must raise $25,000.  The scholarship will be awarded to collegiates in our region and we are hoping to have the  first award go out in 2016. Currently we are around half our goal. Please consider donating today!
